Nadya Isabella (b. Jakarta, Indonesia) is an artist living & working in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montréal. Tapping back and forth between the mundane and fantasy, Isabella’s paintings portray scenes from familiar surroundings. Painting from observation and fantasies taking place in the everyday, her paintings primarily focus on the image as a vehicle of storytelling, a means to record and share feelings, often blurring the lines between fiction and nonfiction. Isabella received her BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2018.
